Drinking Water Research Seminars

Clarifier as part of drinking water treatment

Between October and November of 2021, WVWRI hosted three virtual meetings to bring water operators, researchers, and regulatory agencies together to discuss drinking water issues affecting West Virginia and Pennsylvania, with special focus on disinfection byproducts and emerging concerns such as PFAS.

Presentations were given by researchers at West Virginia University as well as the U.S. Geological Survey. The sessions also included open forum discussions to allow participants to voice concerns, share knowledge, and ask technical and regulation-based questions.

This series is part of ongoing research funded by the U.S. Geological Survey 104(b) Program.
